1 Large skillet or frying pan
1 Wooden spoon or spatula
1 Knife and cutting board
1 Zester or grater
1 Citrus juicer
1 tbsp olive oil 3 cloves garlic, sliced thin 1 can (400 g) chickpeas, drained & rinsed 4 cups fresh spinach (or kale) 1 1 lemon (zest + juice) 1 tsp chili flakes (optional) Salt & black pepper, to taste Cooked rice, couscous, or bread, to serve
Sauté garlic: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add garlic, cook until fragrant (1 min).
Add chickpeas: Toss in chickpeas, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes. Cook 3–4 min until slightly crispy.
Add greens: Stir in spinach, cook until just wilted (2 min).
Finish with lemon: Add zest + juice, mix well.
Serve: Over warm rice, couscous, or with toasted bread.
