Dip & Serving
- 1 small pie pumpkin or small round bread bowl
- 1 package cream cheese 8 oz, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup caramel sauce or dip plus extra for drizzling
- 1 container whipped topping 8 oz, like Cool Whip, thawed
- 1/2 cup toffee bits like Heath bits
- apple slices, strawberries, and pretzel rods for serving
Instructions
- Cut the top off the pumpkin. Scoop out all the seeds and stringy pulp. Pat the inside dry with a paper towel.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth. Fold in the caramel sauce and whipped topping until well combined.
- Gently stir in most of the toffee bits, reserving some for the top.
- Scoop the dip into the hollowed-out pumpkin. Drizzle the top with extra caramel and sprinkle with the remaining toffee bits.
- Serve immediately with apple slices, strawberries, and pretzel rods for dipping. The dip can be made a day ahead, but assemble in the pumpkin just before serving.
Notes
If using a real pumpkin, ensure it is clean and dry. For a longer party, you can place a small plastic bowl inside the pumpkin to hold the dip.
