Equipment
- Large Punch Bowl or Cauldron
Ingredients
Punch Base
- 2 liters lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7-Up, chilled
- 1 quart lime sherbet
- 1 cup pineapple juice chilled
- green food coloring if desired for a deeper green
Optional Effect & Garnish
- 1 small piece dry ice *handled with gloves and tongs
- gummy worms, plastic eyeballs, or lychee 'eyeballs' for garnish
Instructions
- In a large punch bowl or cauldron, scoop the lime sherbet.
- Slowly pour the chilled lemon-lime soda and pineapple juice over the sherbet. It will fizz up. Add a few drops of green food coloring if you want a more vibrant color. Stir gently.
- FOR DRY ICE (ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED): Using gloves and tongs, place a small piece of dry ice into the punch. It will immediately begin to bubble and create a fantastic fog effect. NEVER handle dry ice with bare hands or consume it directly.
- Add gummy worms or other spooky garnishes to the brew. Ladle into cups, ensuring no dry ice pieces get into individual servings.
Notes
*Dry ice is optional and must be handled with extreme care by an adult. The punch is delicious without it. Always use food-grade dry ice and do not let it touch anyone's skin or be ingested.
